Dental Patient Care Coordinator

Seeking a patient care coordinator. Main job duties will include greeting patients, handling phones, communication with patients via phone, text and emails. Collecting & posting payments, verifying insurance, handling treatment plan presentation, coordination with labs, tech reps and any other third-party personnel. Participation in morning huddle and helping to oversee the overall flow of the office daily. Support A/R and send out statements. Manage eAssist communication when needed for patient questions for all claims.
Must be reliable, have front office experience in dentistry, and want long-term employment. Preferably longevity at previous jobs/offices. An ideal team member would be friendly, a people-person but still be firm and direct when needed. Having a good sense of humor is appreciated. Must have professional written and verbal communication.
This is a newer practice, opened 6 years ago. It has grown quickly with a mostly adult patient base. Office culture strives to be a positive place for both patients and staff. Key traits the doctor puts as a priority for the office and team are courteousness, extending grace in times of need and understanding that as a group, you are essentially a small family. Two doctors on staff with complementary personalities of bubbly/vibrant and the other calm. Open Dental and Patient Gallery software used in the office. 2 DDS (with a 3rd DDS eventually being added to the team), 2-3 RDA, 1 RDH, 1 FO. The longest tenured employee is 4.5 years.
This position is available due to current patient coordinator possibly moving to the back office in a more clinical role or possibly returning to school and pursuing a different career path.
