The office is looking for a competent dental assistant who will make the office more efficient and pleasant for patients. The right candidate will ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. Would like someone who is skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Assistants are asked to help hygienists with perio charting, turning rooms around and taking x-rays. Other job duties include welcoming customers in the dental office, preparing customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort, selecting and setting up instruments, equipment and materials needed, sterilizing instruments according to regulations, assisting the dentist through 4-handed dentistry, undertaking lab tasks as instructed, providing oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions, keeping the dental room clean and well-stocked, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with payment procedures.
