Private practice is seeking a hygienist to do accelerated -assisted hygiene. The assistant is responsible for radiographs, set up/break down of rooms, charting with me and with the hygienist, sterilization.  The hygienist is responsible for scaling (we use hand instruments and cavitrons) and polishing/flossing (but my hygiene assistant can do this step if we get behind).  The hygiene assistant will write most of the note, but the hygienist will need to review it.  The hygienist will typically dismiss the patient and communicate to the front for scheduling needs, though sometimes that responsibility is completed by the hygiene assistant. Perio charting is completed by whoever sees the patient first (either me or the hygienist).  Office has two main hygiene rooms to work out of, but there is a third overflow room set up with a cavitron if needed.

Close knit all female private practice.  Currently 4 employees with one DDS.  Longest tenured employee is at 6 years.  Team is super close knit, employees all each lunch together. Office is looking for a family member, not just an employee. Many of the patients have been with the practice for a really long time and they develop a relationship with the hygienist.  It is really important to find a long term hygienist!
